Have you ever moved across country? How did you handle the change? I've been in Southern California for six days and the weather is perfect all of the time, but the environment is more urban than what I'm used to. New Yorkers are going to get upset when I say this, but when you're coming from a small, rural community that's surrounded by working farms, that would be Yellow Springs, Ohio, the L.A. basin can seem similar to the concrete and steel jungle of New York.
I still haven't found a cool, locally-owned shop that sells all organic food items, or foods raised within a 100-mile radius of my home, but there's a Farmer's Market in South Pasadena which is open Thursdays, so I am hopeful.
Meanwhile, I was thinking of changing the name of this blog to reflect my new location. I've come out here to work on a doctoral degree in cultural studies. Any thoughts?

Stepping out of your comfort zone I see. Thrusting yourself into a whole new world. Or rather, the same world, but on the left coast. Open your mind and heart to let others in.
